CITE receives a Child-Friendly Company award from the
E
mployers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour of the International Labour Organization (ILO-Ipec) in cooperation with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce Inc. (CCCI).

The award gives recognition to company policies and programs that work for the benefit of children and
preventing worst forms of child labor in the workplace.

CITE joins the roster of eight other companies from the business and non-business categories such as Lamac Foundation, Norkis Trading Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor, Shangri-la Mactan Island Resort, TMX Philippines, Nature’s Legacy Foundation, Talisay Ice Plant, and Friendly Care Foundation.

CITE President Pedro Dimaculangan (see photo, top row, 2nd from right) accepted the award on behalf of CITE.

Said he: “Congratulations for the job well done and for doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. Our sense of professionalism makes us deserving to receive the award.”

The award was given on April 24 during the 2nd General Membership Meeting of CCCI.
